"Glass House" in Boswell, BC, Canada

Haha wow! This is the "Glass House" and is located in Boswell, BC, Canada. It was built by David H. Brown in 1952 and is constructed out of about 500,000 empty embalming fluid bottles, weighing 250 tons, which otherwise would've been discarded as waste! He built it as a personal residence and his reasoning for building such an unusual home can be found in a quote left behind by him: "indulge a whim of a peculiar nature". His glass castle drew attention from the nearby highway as people wanted to get a glimpse of the castle. The resulting loss of privacy led Mr. Brown to make the house a Roadside attraction in the summer months! Would you want to live inside a recycled glass bottle house?
