Wigwam Motels in USA

haha wow! These are the Wigwam Motels, also known as the "Wigwam Villages", and are part of a motel chain in the United States built in the 1930s and 1940s. They are built in the form of Tipis, which were conical tents built by the native peoples of North America. But surprisingly the motels were mistakenly referred to as Wigams, which were domed structures also built by Native Americans. Initially there were 7 different locations for the motels: 2 in Kentucky, and one in Alabama, Florida, Arizona, Louisiana, and California. There are only 3 surviving Wigwam Motels, 2 are located on the highway between Arizona and California, and the 3rd is in Kentucky. They are also currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Would you want to stay inside a Wigwam Motel?
