"HospederÃa del Errante" house in Ritoque, Chile
haha wow! This is the "HospederÃa del Errante" or translated from Spanish to "Guesthouse of Wandering" and is located in Ritoque, Chile. It is part of the Open City field of architectural experimentation in Chile and was designed by the architect Casanueva Carrasco. The construction of the house commenced in 1981 but was halted in 1982 due to the Chile economy crises and was abandoned and subject to deterioration until 1997. In 1998 to 2000 the construction of the house continued after funding was granted as a research project by the National Commission of Scientific and Technological Research. The design of the house is as much artistic as it was research into addressing the effect of wind and light energy to achieve an internal "habitability of comfort".
