Cave House in Missouri, USA

Wow! This house is built inside a cave! It is located in Festus, Missouri, USA and it used to be a limestone and sandstone mining site in the 1800s. In 1960, the cave was converted into a rollerblade rink where popular musicians Ted Nugent and Bob Seger preformed. When the roller rink was about to be shut down and broken down, local resident Curt Sleeper bought the cave and its surrounding 3 acre lot in 2004 for about $160,000. He has spent an extra $150,000 on renovating it into a 3-bedroom hardwood floored home for him and his family. During the mortgage crisis, he had trouble paying his mortgage due to the increased interest rates so he put up his house for sale on eBay for $300,000. Luckily, he was eventually able to refinance the house and keep his cave house! Would you want to live inside a cave?
